On March 28, 2026, the ELTA Madagascar Antananarivo Chapter was officially inaugurated at Lycée Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo (LJJR), marking a significant milestone in the development of our professional community. The event brought together English language educators and key partners for a day of meaningful connection and professional engagement. The inauguration began with a formal ceremony, followed by an enriching workshop designed to support and inspire our members in their teaching practices. We were deeply honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Alex Burns, US Public Diplomacy Officer, as well as a representative from the Peace Corps. ELTA Madagascar extends its sincere gratitude to the US Embassy, our primary partner and sponsor, for its continued and unwavering support. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Lycée Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo for hosting this important event and for providing an excellent setting in their CDI room. The inauguration was further strengthened by the presence of representatives from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), the Department of Anglophone Studies, and the American Corner. Their participation, alongside that of many dedicated teachers, reflects the strength and unity of our growing community. This successful launch highlights ELTA Madagascar’s commitment to fostering collaboration, professional development, and excellence in English language teaching across the country.
